Dippel: Austrian dialect for a bump, swelling, something that grows after an injury.

A piece born from a conization. A cone, a tail, a lizard that is told it is not a lizard. Together with the lizard Rea, we go on a journey—moving from desert to city, taking steps through questions, encounters, failures, cuts and sections, and new sprouts. Together into a fantastic world.

On a meta level, we meet Mel—a woman in hospital. The piece negotiates the themes of (women’s) health and illness, trauma, body, and (self-)healing, and opens up a research experiment in search of a shared cathartic space.
